Memorial museum “Creative workroom of theatrical artist David Borovsky” is a branch of the Bakhrushin Theatre Museum that was opened on July 2, 2012, with the help of the artist’s wife and son. The interior of the memorial apartment has been preserved to convey the creative atmosphere that surrounded the artist during his lifetime. There are personal items, a large number of sketches, photos, the artist’s manuscripts, and models of scenery for various productions in the workroom. For example, these include models of scenery for "The House on the Embankment" and "The Dawns Here Are Quiet", which were staged at the Taganka Moscow State Drama and Comedy Theatre. The earlier exhibition consisted of two parts: a memorial section and David Borovsky’s personal library. After the renovation in 2025, an exhibition hall and a library reading room were added. Various master classes and events for both children and adults are taking place at the Creative Workroom nowadays. Our museum's collection features models and scenery sketches, including those for the famous production of “Hamlet” at the Taganka Theatre, as well as costume designs, photographs, and exhibition catalogues of works by David Borovsky.
