Tatiana Mikhailovna Barkhina is a Soviet costume designer and architect. Sister of scenographer Sergey Barkhin. Born in Moscow and studied at the Moscow Architectural Institute. Then worked as an architect at "Mosgiprotrans". It was her brother who invited Tatiana to work as a costume designer in the theatre. Thus, the first production the artist designed was "Chekhonte at the Hermitage", directed by Mikhail Levitin. Costumes based on her sketches have been created for productions at the Bolshoi Theatre ("Aida," "Francesca da Rimini," "Mozart and Salieri"), the Moscow Theatre for Young Spectators ("The Lady with the Dog", "Ivanov and Others", "Witness for the Prosecution"), the Moscow Art Theatre named after Anton Chekhov ("The Precipice"), the Mayakovsky Theatre ("The Synthesizer of Love"), and others. Sketches created by Tatiana Barkhina are held in the collection of the Bakhrushin Theatre Museum.
