Nadezhda Sazonova was an actress at the Moscow Puppet Theatre (before 1938 — Children's Book Theater named after Artemic Khalatov) and a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Wife of Victor Shvemberger, the founder of the Moscow Puppet Theatre. With the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War in 1941, she enlisted as a volunteer in the 2nd Rifle Division of the People's Militia of the Stalinsky District of Moscow. At the same time, Nadezhda Sazonova did not abandon her creative work: she led a frontline concert brigade. The online collection of the Bakhrushin Theatre Museum holds photographs of Nadezhda Sazonova from the 1930s, dating back to her time at the Children's Book Theater named after Artemic Khalatov.
