Yakov Gertner was an actor at the Moscow State Jewish Theatre (GOSET). He appeared in productions such as “200,000” based on a play by Sholem Aleichem, “King Lear”, “The Wailing Wall”, “The Ovadis Family”, “The Spaniards”, and others. He was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1947. The Bakhrushin Theatre Museum collection holds photographs of Yakov Gertner in different roles.
