Viktor Mikhaylovich Vasnetsov was an artist, illustrator, theatrical decorator, and architect. The A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum preserves his sketches for the sets and costumes of operas: "The Snow Maiden" by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov and "The Enchantress" ("Charodejka") by I.V. Shpazhinsky, with music by P.I. Tchaikovsky. The museum also holds photocopies of fragments from the frescoes in St. Vladimir's Cathedral in Kyiv.
