Irina Vladimirovna Nirod is a Soviet theatrical artist. Born in Rostov-on-Don. Studied at the Leningrad Theatre Institute (1967–1972), specifically under the artist Marina Azizyan. She worked as a production designer and costume designer at the Maxim Gorky Theatre for Young Spectators in Lviv, the Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre, the Maria Zankovetska Ukrainian Drama Theatre, and others. Irina Nirod received a 1st-degree diploma for the design of Boris Rabkin’s play «The Girl and the Kings» at the Maxim Gorky Theatre for Young Spectators in Lviv. She has participated in regional, republican, and international exhibitions since 1975. Since 1986, she has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Irina Nirod has designed such productions as «The Minor» by D. Fonvizin (1979, Mykola Sadovsky Vinnytsia Music and Drama Theatre), «Fortuna» by M. Tsvetaeva (1995, Vera Komissarzhevskaya St. Petersburg State Academic Drama Theatre), «Dubrovsky» (1996, Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre), and many others. The Bakhrushin Theatre Museum collection includes costume designs by Irina Nirod for various productions.
