Russian Academic Youth Theatre (RAMT)
since 1992
In 1992, the Central Children's Theatre was renamed the Russian Academic Youth Theatre (RAMT). The theatre explores the experience and traditions of the Central Children's Theatre but also creates new forms and genres. It's aimed at an open talk with young spectators on topical issues. Like its predecessor, the theatre educates spectators: the youth educational project "THEATRE+" offers lectures and meetings with creative groups. Looking for new names, the theatre offers its stage to young directors as a part of the Big Stage for Children project. Since 1980, the art director of the theatre is Alexey Borodin. The productions of the theatre were staged by Alexey Borodin, Egor Peregudov, Vladimir Bogatyryov, Marina Brusnikina, Yuri Butusov, Alexandr Doronin, Vladimir Mirzoev, Inna Savronskaya, and other directors. The troupe includes Andrey Bazhin, Alexey Blokhin, Natalya Chernyavskaya, Nina Dvorzhetskaya, Elena Galibina, Larisa Grebenschikova, Yuri Grigoryev, Pyotr Krasilov, Tatyana Kuryanova, Tatyana Matyukhova, Natalya Platonova, Evgenia Presnikova, Iskander Ramilya, Evgeny Redko, Natalya Ryazanova, Darya Semyonova, Tatyana Shatilova, Victor Tsymbal, Alexey Veselkin, Tatyana Veselkina, Oleg Zima, and other actors.
